Gary Roden

SVP Client Development & Commercial

5 years at Ticketmaster In February 2019 Gary Roden became Senior Vice President of Client Development and Commercial at Ticketmaster UK. Gary has driven the transformation and rejuvenation of the Theatre, Arts and Comedy division of the business, originally as a Business Development Director and more recent as a VP, prior to undertaking his new role this February. He has worked in a variety of senior roles within the theatre industry since starting his career on the Clear Channel Entertainment trainee manager programme back in 2003. In his early career he became General Manager of touring theatre company New Perspectives, touring new theatre work across the UK. At the age of 25 Gary joined Live Nation as General Manager of the Bristol Hippodrome. The venue was sold by Live Nation in 2009 to the Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG), where Gary’s career continued to progressed further when in 2010 he took over the management of the 3000 seat Edinburgh Playhouse, the UK’s largest theatre. Prior to joining Ticketmaster Gary was the Managing Director of Parkwood Theatres, operating 4 separate venues across the South of England.

Sarah Slater

Vice President, Music

4 years at Ticketmaster Contact for: Music and Festivals Sarah became VP of Music and Festivals in September 2018 after 3.5 years developing the music side of the business at Ticketmaster UK. After a career as a professional dancer, Sarah started her ticketing career at Trinity Street, one of the first companies to identify the need for ‘Artist Services’. Sarah worked directly with the labels and management to create artist specific stores and ticket shops, as well as working with promoters and shows including Ibiza Rocks, Global Gathering and The Mighty Boosh. In 2010, Sarah started her own company based on the Trinity Street model called Over 9, moving the output beyond artist services and forming a fully-fledged ticketing company, running alongside the likes of Harvey Goldsmith – the Queens Jubilee and Chime for Change Sarah works across events and festivals large to small including Reading & Leeds, Creamfields, Lovebox and Warehouse Project, as well as working alongside well-known brand such as Bauer Media, MTV and Red Bull on their ticketing strategies.

Gillian Henderson

Senior Business Development Director, Scotland & Venues

5 years at Ticketmaster Contact for: Venues across the UK Gillian moved into a venue centric role in 2018, holding the relationships the venues and ticketing partners including Academy Music Group and SMG. She has 12 years’ experience working with venues, starting her career at AMG at the Carling Academy Glasgow, before moving to MAMA and Co as General Manager a The Picture House Edinburgh while assisting the opening of further regional venues including; Ritz Manchester, East Village Arts Club Liverpool and Institute Birmingham. Gillian has also worked on a number of large outdoor events and festivals in Scotland including T In The Park where she dedicated 11 years straight, The Ryder Cup 2014 and BBC at the Quay and more recently assisting on the delivery of the inaugural European Championships held in Glasgow in 2018.
From her base in Scotland she is also on the Board of Directors at Scottish Music Industry Association.
